Great white shark silhouette, Gansbaai, South Africa, 1995
— Photographer Amos Nachoum says it is very rare that a
great white will cruise over your head while in the cage,
but being “cageless” earned him this splendid view as
the shark pursued the bait on the surface. A fast shutter
speed froze the action and rendered the shark’s body
black against the sun and blue water.
