Over the decades, the ways we explore the underwater realm have
evolved enabling us to stay under the surface with greater ease for longer
intervals at deeper depths. As the years have passed and the sport has
changed, the DAN teamhas remained dedicated to researching important
trends in diving, identifying key risks and developing resources that
prepare divers to explore safely. DAN is your dive safety association and
your resource for incident prevention, management and protection. We
are the resource you depend on to prepare divers to dive smarter and we
are the 24-hour emergency hotline you rely on when incidents happen.
From the DAN Medical Information Line staffed with medical specialists
to an extensive collection of dive safety resources, and practical first aid
training programs, DAN helps divers, worldwide, dive safely.
As I look into our future, we are well positioned to expand our reach in the
diving community working diligently to enhance diver safety. Even one
dive accident is too many, so there is still much to be done. Together, we
can make the sport we love safer than ever before.
